I grew up in Hong Kong and England though my family originates from New Zealand. After education at Harrow and then Leeds University, I spent five years editing and commissioning legal works for Thomson-Reuters in Hong Kong and London between 2001 and 2006. After journalism courses at the London College of Communication in 2006, I took on internships and later freelanced for a wide variety of magazines, including Grazia, The Sunday Times Travel Magazine, The Wisden Cricketer, Nuts and Waitrose Food Illustrated.
